1. I am a talking fruitbat.

2. I am not even a real fruitbat, but one made from leather and fluff.

3. Contrary to common believe, I don't just eat apples. Sometimes I eat strawberries too. Sometimes I eat glassstrider's ice cream but he hasn't seen the little tongue marks on them yet.

4. viking_fruitbat is my brother. Strangely we are not only from different countries, but he is from a different age entirely. Noone has ever commented on this before.

5. I am probably the only fruitbat in the UK to have worked on an offshore platform. When I say "worked," I obviously don't mean worked in a hardhat and boiler suit. But I did help the medic when she was removing a roughneck's tooth. I held the little mirror thing and flapped up and down. Some day I will be a dentist. (The medic lady was very nice and once met Buzz Aldrin but didn't belive it was him).

6. If I were an X-Bat, my mutant power would be to flap around someone annoyingly and then hump their face. Being made of fluff and leather, I would be Magneto-Proof.

Last night Icicle and I tried out some moves we saw demonstrated at Febmeet. But Trauma and glassstrider took one look at us and said "Stop that."

I have been to my first Febmeet.

It look me a while to recover because humans are stupid and leave their drinks lying around unattended. Icicle and I drank our fill every time their backs were turned hahahah :D

She came from the London Dungeon, is very young and is not a lesbian fruitbat like me and Icicle. Probably a good thing because Trauma and glassstrider get upset enough as it is with me and Icicle expressing fruitbat lurve in public places. We got lots of fruit at febmeet and also got to demonstrate Brownian Motion. We were rewarded by a fluff on the Fluff Board and a lot of blank expressions.

And we got to sleep in a hotel room.

Last night Trauma let me look after the fake bat. I hugged it all night but in the morning it was dead. She said not to worry because it was just a computer bat, but I was a little bit annoyed with myself. Icicle teased me and said "no wonder we haven't had any children" but Dreammonkey said that lesbians tend not to concieve naturally and that's why they have cats. Or adopt.

I don't think I'd want a cat. Surely it would eat me?

Then Trauma went off to tell stories in the past and left us alone with glassstrider who snored, so I looked into his mouth.

Mouths are interesting. Trauma thinks I should be a dentist, but I don't know what that is.

Viking told me to behave. Older brothers suck. They think they can tell me what to do just because they are bolder and fluffier. Bah.

Ate an apple. Nibbled on the avocado Trauma and Glassstrider are trying to make something called sushi with. Cuddled Icicle.

Yesterday, Trauma had what humans call a "birthday." This is when they have lived for another year without dying.

I haven't had one yet, but when I do I think it's going to be great because when you have a "birthday" you get people giving you things. Hopefully apples.

glassstrider gave her a pretend fruitbat. Not a real one like me or Icicle or my brother Viking, but a pretend one that flaps around on a small screen. Like a television but you can make it dance and eat chicken drumsticks. Then it goes to sleep and leaves a big steaming poo. This is one reason why we real fruitbats are better.

Anyway, they went out last night to get "bleezin'" and left us at home with the pretend fruitbat. Viking took it under his wing.

They came home smelling of cheap alcohol and Trauma said something about eating a tentacle.

Yuk.

Last night Icicle sulked with Trauma because she was told that she needed to go have a bath.

glassstrider had a strange thought about bat cheese and Trauma accused him of being a deviant. I squeaked that noone was milking me! Not even Icicle...

Last night Glassstrider put Icicle in a glass and asked Trauma if she was thirsty. Shnhshnhshnh! Icicle wasn't happy and squeaked very loudly - especially when Someone suggested getting an umbrella and stick with an olive on.

This morning I hopped on Glassstrider's face when he was asleep, but he didn't notice.

Hello!
This is my first journal entry. I am a fruitbat and fruitbats are great and really, really interesting so I thought I'd get my own so you all know how great and interesting we fruitbats are.

I had to lie about my age to get this livejournal. I'm really only 4 months old, but I lied and said I was 30. 30 is ancient.

I also had to type in what I saw in a picture to prove I'm human. How easy these people are fooled. hahahahahah!
